The research of the effect of the charging fees on the use of ski trails in Jizerské hory with the Travel cost method

Abstract:

Rekreace ve volné přírodě je vyhledávaným způsobem aktivního odpočinku. S narůstající návštěvností rekreačních oblastí však narůstá i degradace přírody, proto je v současné době diskutovaným tématem environmentální politiky snaha najít způsob, jak tomuto znečištění zabránit a zachovat takto turisticky vytížené oblasti budoucím generacím. Cílem práce je odhad rekreační poptávky po běžkařském lyžování v Jizerských horách za pomoci metody cestovních nákladů modelu single-site a odhad rekreační poptávky v důsledku zpoplatnění běžkařských drah pomocí metody podmíněného chování. Teoretická část práce věnuje pozornost historii a vývoji samotné užité metody a jednotlivým charakteristikám, které mohou model ovlivňovat. Praktická část práce obsahuje statistické zpracování dat, která vychází s dotazníkového šetření v oblasti Jizerských hor, a odhad rekreační poptávky a její změny za využití Poissonovy a negativně-binomické regresní analýzy.

Abstract:

Outdoor recreation is a popular way for active relaxation. With the increasing number of visitors is, however, increasing pollution of the nature as well. Thus an effort to find a way of preventing such pollution and preserving the busy tourist areas for future generations is currently a hot topic of environmental policy. The aim of the thesis is to estimate the recreational demand for cross-country skiing in this area with the by using the travel cost method, single-site model. The theoretical part pays attention to the history and development of used methods and the individual characteristics that may affect the model. The practical part contains an analysis of the data, which is based on a questionnaire survey in the area, and estimate of the recreational demand by using the Poisson and negative binomial-regression analysis.
