Pupil awareness about Papillomavirus

Abstract:

Rakovina děložního čípku a její prevence patří mezi dnešní aktuální témata, proto by bylo zajímavé zjistit, jaké znalosti mají o této problematice žáci základních škol, se zaměřením na žáky 9. tříd. Výzkum bude prováděn formou dotazníku. Předpokládá se, že žáci byli proškoleni na téma sexuální výchova, pohlavní choroby apod. Díky reklamním kampaním, podporující očkování proti nejrizikovějším typům virů HPV, se dá očekávat, že by žáci měli mít nějaké znalosti, co se týká virů HPV a rakovině děložního čípku. Cílem je tedy prověřit míru informovanosti žáků v této problematice. Kladené otázky prověřují nejen znalosti o HPV a možnostech prevence, ale také iniciativu lékařů či zdravotnického personálu v oblasti nabídky očkování. Dále je výzkum rozveden o zjištění typu: kolik dívek uvažuje o možnosti očkování, jaké znalosti mají chlapci a o závěrečné srovnání zkoumaných škol. Celý projekt se zabývá HPV, včasnou prevencí a popisem průběhu rakoviny děložního čípku.

Abstract:

The cervical cancer and its prevention is one of the very topical themes nowadays. Therefore, it would be interesting to find out the range of knowledge of this problem among the pupils of primary schools, concretely among the students of the ninth classes. The pupils are supposed to have been educated on the sex education, veneral disease, etc. It is expected that, as a consequence of advertising campaigns to support inoculation against the high-risk types of viruses of HPV, the pupils should be knowledgeable of the HPV and the cervical cancer. The aim of this work is to detect the rage of their knowledge of this problem. The questions in the research questionnaire examine not only the knowledge ability of the pupils but also the initiative on the part of the doctors and the medical staff. Further on, the research is extended by findings such as: how many girls consider inoculation; what boys know abut this problem; and conclusive comparison of knowledge of pupils at the schools which participated in the research. The whole work is concerned with HPV, timely prevention and description of the disease process of cervical cancer.
