Causes, Course and Impact of Financial Crises on the Real Economy in the USA and Europe

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vznik a vývoj dvou významných finančních krizí, kterými si svět prošel v posledních sto letech – Velkou hospodářskou krizi a finanční krizi začátku 21. století. Právě z toho důvodu je analyzováno období konce 20. let a léta 30. a následně roky 2007 a následující. Důraz je kladen zejména na vliv krize na akciové trhy. Práce se tedy zaměřuje zejména na vztah mezi hospodářskými výsledky a hodnotami akciových indexů ve dvou sledovaných zemích – Spojených státech, představující epicentrum krize a Německu jako zástupce dopadu krizí na Evropu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the emergence and development of two major financial crises that the world has undergone in the last hundred years - the Great Economic Crisis and the Financial Crisis of the beginning of the 21st Century. This is the reason why the end of the 1920s and the 30s and the years 2007 and the following are analyzed. Emphasis is placed on the impact of the crisis on stock markets. Thus, the work focuses mainly on the relationship between economic performance and the values of stock indices in the two monitored countries - the United States, representing the epicenter of the crisis and Germany as a representative of the impact of crises on Europe.
