Individual protection equipment against the effects of kinetic-power projectiles and fragments in security forces

Abstract:

Obsahem této bakalářské práce jsou prostředky individuální ochrany člověka proti působení kineticko-energetických střel a střepin zavedené ve výstroji ozbrojených bezpečnostních sborů České republiky. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vymezení základních pojmů týkajících se ozbrojených bezpečnostních sborů, jejich rozdělení, úkoly, klasifikace a popsání jednotlivých druhů poranění. Dále je definováno základní rozdělení účinků střel a střepin na vybraný cíl a jejich možné zmírnění pomocí balistické ochrany. Budou představeny aktuálně využívané ochranné prostředky a jejich konstrukční parametry. Druhá polovina teoretické části se zabývá prostředky balistické ochrany; budou definovány jednotlivé druhy (třídy) balistiky. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, ve které jsou popsány cíle a metody zvolené pro zhotovení této práce. Dále byly vypracovány SWOT analýzy vybraných aktuálně používaných prostředků individuální ochrany osob působících u ozbrojených bezpečnostních sborů. Prostředky jsou porovnány, přičemž je věnován prostor popsání jejich kladných a záporných stránek. V následující části jsou SWOT analýzy vyhodnoceny. Na základě výsledku analýz a následné komparace jsou vytipována a navržena možná zlepšení balistické ochrany jednotlivců. Cílem práce je tedy zhotovení SWOT analýzy balistických prostředků aktuálně používaných vybranými bezpečnostními sbory a jejich následná komparace a vyhodnocení. Výsledkem práce je analýza těchto prostředků, vyzdvihnutí jejich slabých a silných stránek, porovnání metod využívaných různými složkami a popis možných zlepšení, která by mohla v budoucnu zvýšit efektivitu ochranných prostředků.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with means of protection of persons against attacks by kinetic weapons and missiles, which were introduced in the equipment of the armed security forces of the Czech Republic. The work contains theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on defining the basic concepts of the armed safety of services, their division, basic tasks and classification and discovery of individual types of injuries. That is followed by basic division of methods of firing and shrapnel on the target and possible damage prevented by ballistic protection. Currently used protective equipment and its design parameters will be presented. The second part of the theoretical part describes means of ballistic protection and it defines classes of ballistics. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part, where goals and methods used in order to complete this work are listed. There are also SWOT analyses of application of personal protective equipment currently used by armed security forces, their comparison and the pluses and minuses of selected equipment are listed. In the second part, SWOT analyses are evaluated. Based on the expected outcome, possible improvements of individual's ballistic protection are suggested. This work aims to perform SWOT analysis on currently available resources of selected security forces. Subsequently, these resources are compared and evaluated. The result of the work is an analysis of currently used ballistic equipment in the security forces of the Czech Republic, revealing of their positive and negative aspects and defining their use. Finally, the methods used by different security forces are compared and possible improvements are described.
