Roots of the religious freedom and toleration

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem práce je pojetí náboženské svobody a tolerance. Zpracování tématu se opírá o dílo Johna Locka. Práce je nejdříve zaměřena na pojetí náboženství v Dopisech o toleranci. V souvislosti s filosofií Johna Locka jsou stručně popsané náboženské teorie Thomase Hobbese a G. W. F. Hegela. Dále je uvedený stručný vývoj prosazování svobody náboženství v Americe. A její zakotvení v ústavě. V návaznosti na vývoj svobody náboženství v Americe je uvedený i vývoj v Evropě a České republice. V poslední části práce je zachycen současný pohled na náboženství a jsou položeny otázky zabývající se svobody náboženství v budoucnosti.

Abstract:

The main theme of this thesis is conception of religious freedom and tolerance. The Elaboration of the theme is based on John Locke. The work is first focused on the concept of religion in the Letters of Tolerance. In connection with John Locke's philosophy, there are briefly described religious theories of Thomas Hobbes and G. W. F. Hegel. Below is mentioned brief development of the promotion of freedom of religion in America and its anchoring in the constitution. In connection with the development of freedom of religion in America are shown also developments in Europe and in the Czech Republic. In the last part of the thesis is captured the current view at religion and are asked questions about freedom of religion in the future.
