Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme různým pojetím algebraických teorií. Začínáme se studiem jednosortových algebraických teorií konečné arity a jejich modelů, pak pokračujeme k monadám a znázorňujeme je z tří různých pohledů: jako funkcionální efekty, monoidy a zobecněné algebraické teorie. Nakonec dokazujeme větu monadicity a uvádíme komutativní algebraické teorie a ukazujeme, že jejich modely mají přirozený tenzorový součin.

Abstract:

In this thesis we study various notions of algebraic theories. We start off with finitary single-sorted algebraic theories and their models, then proceed to monads and show that they can be thought of in three different ways: as functional effects, as monoids, and as generalized algebraic theories. At last we prove the monadicity theorem and introduce commutative algebraic theories, and show that their models can be tensored in a natural way.
