The incidence of familiar hypercholesterolemia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výskytem familiární hypercholesterolémie, což je dědičná forma vysokého cholesterolu. Cílem práce bylo vybrat případy familiární hypercholesterolémie ze záznamů lipidemické ambulance interní kliniky Fakultní nemocnice v Ostravě a porovnat jejich frekvenci s výskytem hypercholesterolémie nefamiliární. Dalším cílem bylo analyzovat situaci u osob s familiární hypercholesterolémií. Na závěr jsem definovala možná preventivní opatření. V teoretické části píši o příčinách, diagnostice a léčbě familiární hypercholesterolémie. Také jsem se zaměřila na rizika spojená s vysokým cholesterolem. V praktické části se zabývám životním stylem osob, kteří trpí tímto onemocněním. Výzkum jsem prováděla pomocí dotazníků. Ptala jsem se na stravování, pohybovou činnost či onemocnění respondentů. Výsledky výzkumu jsem vyjádřila pomocí tabulek a grafů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the incidence of familiar hypercholesterolemia which is hereditary condition of high cholesterol. The aim of work was to take out cases of familiar hypercholesterolemia from entries of the lipid ambulance internal clinic from the University hospital in Ostrava and compare their frequency with the incidence of non-familiar hypercholesterolemia. In conclusion, I have defined possible preventive measures. In the theoretical part I am writing about causes, diagnostics and treatment of familiar hypercholesterolemia. I have focused on risks connected with high cholesterol. In the practical part I am dealing with the lifestyle of persons who suffer from this illness. I was pursuing the research by questionnaires. I was asking about nourishment, movement activities or illness of respondents. The results have been included into tables and diagrams.
