Managerial communication competencies of non-medical health professionals in gynecology and obstetrics

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou manažerských komunikačních kompetencí, kdy je komunikace vnímána jako jedním z nejdůležitějších nástrojů každého vedoucího pracovníka. Teoretická část diplomové práce shrnuje roli porodní asistentky/ všeobecné sestry, v perioperační péči a obor management ve zdravotnictví. Výzkumná část diplomové práce byla realizována ve zdravotnickém zařízení vybraného regionu na Gynekologicko-porodnickém oddělení, u nelékařského zdravotnického personálu, poskytující odbornou ošetřovatelskou péči. Sběr dat byl proveden prostřednictvím strukturovaného dotazníkového šetření a hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jak sestry a porodní asistentky na zvoleném pracovišti vnímají význam jednotlivých manažerských kompetencí a jak samy hodnotí jejich zvládání. Dílčí cíl zní, zda je rozdíl mezi hodnocením významu i rozdíl vlastního zvládání kompetencí mezi sestrami a porodními asistentkami s vysokoškolským vzděláním a ostatním druhem vzdělání.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of managerial communication competencies, where communication is perceived as one of the most important tools of every manager. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis summarizes the role of a midwife / general nurse in perioperative care and the field of management in health care. The research part of the diploma thesis was carried out in a medical facility in a selected region at the gynecology and obstetrics department, with non-medical medical staff providing professional nursing care. Data collection was carried out through a structured questionnaire survey and the main goal was to find out how nurses and midwives at the selected workplace perceive the importance of individual managerial competencies and how they evaluate their management. The partial goal is whether there is a difference between the evaluation of significance and the difference in the management of competencies between nurses and midwives with a university degree and other types of education.
