Financial crisis and its impact on the position of firms on market

Abstract:

Currently the world economy is affected by the consequences of financial crisic which has developed out from the crisic in the U.S. mortgage market. First the crisis hit sectors of U.S. economy and then gradually began to spread to other regions. Title of my thesis is Financial crisis and its impact on the position of firms in the market. The choice of this work is primarily because of interest in the subject and the importance of the theme. The aim of my work is to try to examine the origins of the crisis, its progress and impact on the position of companies in the market. As a representative I chose the company DOKA Drevo, s.r.o. Based on the financial analysis for the period 2006 – 2009 I will try to determine the financial status of the company and I will propose measures to mitigate the crisis in the company.

Abstract:

V súčasnosti je svetová ekonomika poznačená následkami finančnej krízy, ktorá sa vyvinula z krízy hypoték na americkom trhu. Najprv kríza zasiahla sektory amerického hospodárstva a potom postupne začala prenikať do svetových ekonomík. Názov mojej diplomovej práce je Finančná kríza a jej dopad na pozíciu firiem na trhu. Výber tejto práce som si zvolila predovšetkým z dôvodu záujmu o tému a dôležitosti tématiky. Cieľom mojej práce je pokúsiť sa analyzovať vznik krízy, jej priebeh a dopady na pozíciu firiem na trhu. Ako zástupcu som si zvolila spoločnosť DOKA Drevo, s.r.o. Na základe uskutočnenia finančnej analýzy za sledované obdobie 2006 – 2009 sa pokúsim zistiť finančný stav firmy a navrhnem opatrenia na zmiernenie krízy vo firme.
