Dying and Death from the Perspective of High School Students

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postojem studentů středních škol k tématu umírání a smrti, a také zjišťuje, co studentům pomohlo vypořádat se se ztrátou blízké osoby. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje kapitoly umírání, smrt, ztráta blízké osoby a období adolescence. V subkapitolách se zabýváme fázemi umírání, druhy smrti, dobrou smrtí, strachem ze smrti a problematikou dospívání. Praktická část se zabývá výzkumem, ve kterém pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjišťujeme postoje studentů k jejich vlastní smrti a také se zaměřujeme na to, co a kdo jim pomohlo při vyrovnávání se se ztrátou blízké osoby.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on high school students' attitudes towards the topic of dying and death and also explores what helped students cope with the loss of a loved one. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes chapters on dying, death, loss of a loved one and the period of adolescence. The subchapters deal with the stages of dying, types of death, good death, fear of death and issues of adolescence. The practical part deals with research in which we use a questionnaire survey to find out students' attitudes towards their own death and also focus on what and who helped them in coping with the loss of a loved one.
