Developement of local press and the position of media market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se bude zabývat vývojem regionálního tisku v České republice a bude formou deskriptivní studie mapovat proměny regionálního deníku Českokrumlovský deník v období od roku 1948 až po současnost. Proměny jsou především ve vlastnické, organizační, grafické nebo obsahové struktuře. Všechny tyto aspekty měly vliv na konečnou podobu novin. Českokrumlovský deník prošel několika obdobími vývoje – vznikl jako týdeník Jiskra, do soukromého vlastnictví přešel už pod novým Českokrumlovsko, později přešel pod vydavatelství Vltava – Labe – Press. Práce bude zasazena do teoretického kontextu regionální i celostátní žurnalistiky a českého trhu regionálních médií od počátku tištěných médií až po současnost, zejména se bude věnovat proměnám po roce 1989. V práci bude popsána obsahová i grafická stránka novin či fungování redakce v jednotlivých obdobích. Vše bude teoreticky ukotveno v kapitolách týkajících se obecně regionálního tisku a jeho funkcí, dále v kapitolách o transformaci tisku po roce 1989 a kapitolách věnujících se podobám novin, fungování redakcí a jejich vývoji obecně. Práce bude čerpat především z primárních zdrojů, z jednotlivých vydání deníku a z rozhovorů s bývalými a současnými zaměstnanci a vlastníky tohoto periodika. Sekundárními zdroji bude analýza dokumentů, rešerše literatury a dalších zdrojů.

Abstract:

This thesis will address the development of the regional press in the Czech Republic and will form a descriptive study to map the changes in the regional daily newspaper Krumlov in the period from 1948 to the present. The changes are primarily in the ownership, organization, graphics or content structure. All of these aspects have influenced the final form of the newspaper. Cesky Krumlov newspaper has undergone several periods of development – originated as a newspaper Jiskra to private ownership has already passed under the new Ceskokrumlovsko, later joined by publisher Vltava - Labe - Press. The work will be set in a theoretical context of regional and national journalism and the Czech media market, the regional print media from the beginning to the present, especially given the transformations after 1989. The work will be described in graphic content and page editor of newspapers or functioning in different periods. All the theory imbedded in the chapters on general and regional press and its functions, as well as chapters on the transformation of print since 1989, and chapters devoted to the forms of newspaper editors and the operation of their development in general. The work will draw mainly from primary sources, each edition of the journals and interviews with former and current employees and owners of newspapers. Secondary sources will include an analysis of documents, bibliography and other sources.
