Feasibility Study Proposal for a New Wellness Center of a Selected Hotel

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na výstavbu nového wellness centra ve vybraném hotelu. Teoretická část se zabývala základními pojmy o hotelnictví, wellnessech služeb a lázeňství. V další kapitole byla zpracovaná literární rešerše analytických metod a studie proveditelnosti. Pomocí Porterova modelu 5 konkurenčních sil, analýzy konkurence, dotazníkového šetření a SWOT analýzy. Uvedené analýzy byly vyhodnoceny a použity pro návrh projektu. Konkurenční výhodou zvoleného hotelu bude vybudování nového wellness centra. Vybrané prostory jsou vhodné pro výstavbu a konkurence v nabídce wellness služeb je v okolí nízká. Následně byl projekt podroben časové, nákladové a rizikové analýze. Z projektu vyplývá, že by do budoucna mohlo dojít ke zvýšení obsazenosti hotelu, ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti hotelu. Realizací projektu došlo k rozšíření poskytovaných služeb.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the construction of a new wellness centre in a selected hotel. The theoretical part dealt with the basic concepts of hotel industry, wellness services and spa industry. In the next chapter, a literature search of analytical methods and a feasibility study was conducted. Using Porter's 5 competitive forces model, competitive analysis, questionnaire survey and SWOT analysis. The above analyses were evaluated and used for the project design. The competitive advantage of the selected hotel will be the construction of a new wellness center. The selected premises are suitable for construction and the competition in offering wellness services is low in the area. Subsequently, the project was subjected to time, cost and risk analysis. The project shows that there could be an increase in occupancy in the future, increasing the competitiveness of the hotel. The implementation of the project has led to an expansion of the services provided.
