Territorial development of the town Pilsen in the last century

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá územním rozvojem města Plzně v posledních 100 letech, protože během tohoto období došlo k významným územním změnám. Práce se věnuje klíčovým momentům územního rozvoje, jak slovně, tak názorně na mapách. Na základě získaných informací pomocí kabinetního výzkumu byly vymezeny čtyři vývojové etapy územní rozvoje města v posledním století do současnosti. Pro práci bylo stěžejní zhodnocení vývojových etap územního rozvoje města Plzně. Na jejich základě byly vybrány mapové podklady pro vytvoření vlastních map. Mapy byly zpracovány v programu ArcGIS. Mapové výstupy byly mezi sebou porovnány metodou komparace, stejně tak jako historické fotografie se současnými fotografiemi cílových objektů. Dnes je Plzeň díky územním změnám v posledním století jedním z nejvýznamnějších měst v České republice.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis is concerned by territorial development of the town Pilsen in the last century, because during this period were made important territorial changes. The thesis engages to the key moments in territorial development, by words and maps. On the basis of the information, gained by study research, were defined four progress stages of the territorial development of the town Pilsen from the last century to the present. The progress stages´ evaluation was very important for the thesis. The map grounds for creation of the own maps were chosen on their basis. Maps were made in the programme called ArcGIS. The done maps were compared each other by the comparison method, as so as historical photos with the photos of the present target objects. Thanks the territorial changes is Pilsen in the last century one the most important towns in the Czech republic.
