Internet dangers to children and its identification and elimination by parents

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje virtuálním hrozbám, které se vyskytují v prostředí sítě Internet a mohou negativně působit na její uživatele. Teoretická část práce se zabývá místy, kde se virtuální hrozby vyskytují, jednotlivými virtuálními hrozbami, jakož i způsobem, jak virtuální hrozby identifikovat a eliminovat. V empirické části jsou interpretovány výsledky výzkumu, kterým bylo zejména zjišťováno, zda se rodiče zajímají o to, co jejich děti dělají ve volném čase na internetu, zda znají hrozby, které sebou užívání sítě Internet nese a zda jsou tyto hrozby schopni účinně eliminovat. Výzkum byl zaměřen na rodiče dětí ve věku od šesti do osmnácti let a byl proveden ve městě Brně.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with virtual threats that occur in the environment of the Internet and may negatively affect its users. The theoretical part deals with places where virtual threats occur, each virtual threats, as well as the way virtual threats identified and eliminated. In the empirical part of the research results are interpreted, which was mainly examined whether parents concerned about what their children are doing in their free time in the internet, if they know the threats of using Internet and if they are unable to effectively eliminate it. The research was aimed at parents of children aged from six to eighteen years, and was performed in Brno.
