Abstract:

Téma diplomové práce pokrývá oblast analýzy a návrhu, jež lze standardně zaužívanou terminologií označit za dvě důležité fáze mající svůj opodstatněný význam v předimplementační etapě vývoje softwarových produktů. Cílem závěrečné práce je vystihnout a formulovat hlavní aspekty v otázce začlenění uživatelského testování do výše zmíněných fází analýzy a návrhu. Nastolená problematika je zpracována jednak v rovině teoretické, tak i formou praktických ukázek demonstrovaných na reálně zadaném projektu, jehož náplní je vyvinutí webového portálu se zaměřením na tematiku dopravní infrastruktury. V souvislosti s tímto projektem jsou čtenářům prezentovány postupy proběhnuvší při analýze zákazníkových požadavků a také při návrhu řešení optimální podoby vyvíjeného softwaru. Vypracované analyticko-návrhové výstupy mají za úkol posloužit hladšímu průběhu samotné implementace, avšak ta již leží mimo rámec diplomové práce. Po stránce teoretické je čtenářům objasněna řada klíčových pojmů (HCI, použitelnost webu a další), se kterými autor v průběhu výzkumné činnosti pracuje. Za další přínos na teoretické bázi lze chápat i přítomnost návodu popisující způsob využití aparátu popisné a matematické statistiky. Praktická část diplomové práce se zaobírá začleněním teoretických poznatků do již zmíněného projektu, přičemž hlavní výzva spočívá ve výběru a následné aplikaci takových uživatelských testů, jež v daném kontextu vykazují prospěšný vliv na výsledek. Samotné uživatelské testování je doprovázeno řadou vedlejších efektů, jež v praktické rovině mají rovněž svůj přínos. Jedná se především o tvorbu prototypů a užití statistického softwaru pro zpracování naměřených dat. Důraz je kladen na to, aby koncepce díla umožnila závěrečné bilancování ohledně míry přínosu uživatelského testování v rámci daného projektu.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis covers mainly the analysis and the design, which are in standardly used IT terminology denoted as two very important stages of pre-implementation phase of the software development process. The aim of the thesis is to capture and formulate key aspects of the user testing implementation in aforementioned stages of the analysis and the design. The issue is approached both on theoretical level and practical level via a series of practical examples demonstrated in form of a real commissioned project dealing with the development of a web portal dedicated to the theme of transportation infrastructure. Real processes that usually takes places during the analysis of customer demands and during the design of optimal form of desired software are presented to the reader in connection with this project. However the analytical and design outputs serving to facilitate the process of the real project, implementation itself lies outside the scope of this thesis. The theoretical part of this thesis defines and explains a number of key terms (e.g. HCI, web usability etc.). Another contribution of the theoretical part is the presentation of general principles depicting the use of descriptive and mathematical statistics. The practical part of this thesis works with the implementation of the theoretical knowledge bsae into the aforementioned project, while the major challenge consists in the selection and subsequent application of such user tests that tend to have positive effect on the result of the project. The user testing itself is accompanied by a number of side effects, which have relevant benefits on practical level. The creation of prototypes and the use of statistical software for recorded data processing can be classified as the positive side effects of user testing. An emphasis is also placed on it to allow the final evaluation of the benefits regarding user testing.
