Abstract:

Tato absolventská práce pojednává o sociální péči o děti a mládež v období první republiky. Přibližuje, jak se utvářel systém sociální politiky v nově vzniklé samostatné republice, konkrétně pak systém péče, sociální práce s dětmi a mládeží. Zmíněny jsou počátky sociální práce v Československu, systém vzdělávání. Jsou zde představeny nejčastější činnosti sociálních pracovnic v oblasti péče o děti a mládež. Podrobněji je představena problematika vysoké úmrtnosti kojenců a dětí do jednoho roku. Vysoké počty úmrtnosti se ve dvacátých letech týkaly celé republiky, proto se touto problematikou musela zabývat i sociální politika státu. Vznikl státem podporovaný projekt Poradny pro matky s dětmi. Tuto problematiku zde prezentuji i pohledem dobových autorů. Tato práce slouží jako podklad pro bakalářskou práci, která je zaměřena na zmapování působení a sociální práci Boženy Hrejsové, která byla ve dvacátých letech iniciátorkou vzniku Poraden pro matky a děti na Strážnicku.

Abstract:

This graduate thesis deals with the social care of children and youth in the period of the First Republic. It presents how the system of social policy was formed in the newly independent republic, specifically the system of care and social work with children and youth. The beginnings of social work in Czechoslovakia and the system of education are mentioned. The most common activities of social workers in the field of care for children and youth are presented. The problem of high mortality of infants and children under one year is presented in detail. The high mortality rates in the 1920s affected the whole country, so the social policy of the state had to deal with this issue. The state-supported project of the Counselling Centre for Mothers with Children was established. I present this issue here from the perspective of contemporary authors. This thesis serves as a basis for my bachelor's thesis, which focuses on the mapping of the work and social work of Božena Hrejsová, who initiated the establishment of Counselling Centres for Mothers and Children in Strážnice in the 1920s.
