Personal growth of the teacher

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je popsat osobní a profesní růst učitelů na 2. stupni základní školy. V teoretické části práce jsou definovány pojmy osobnost, učitel, růst, stres a další. Rovněž popisuje faktory, které mají největší vliv na formování osobního a profesního růstu. Také nabízí metody užitečné pro zvládání stresu. Praktická část sleduje osobnostní růst dvou začínajících učitelek. Za pomoci rozhovorů jsou vyhodnocovány změny v ukazatelích růstu v prvním roce jejich působení v učitelské profesi. Výsledky porovnává s výpověďmi z dotazníkového šetření, které bylo zaměřeno na učitele s různou délkou praxe.

Abstract:

The thesis describes the personal and professional growth of teachers in second grade of elementary school. The theoretical part defines the terms of personality, teacher, personal growth, stress etc. It also describes the factors with the greatest influence on the formation of personal and professional growth. It contains useful methods for dealing with stress. The practical part follows two novice teachers and their changes of personal and professional growth after finished university studies to the first year of their professional teaching. The results are compared with the questionnaire, which was aimed at teachers with different length practice.
