Community care for the woman and newborn after birth

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá kompetencemi porodních asistentek v oblasti komunitní péče o fyziologickou ženu a novorozence po porodu. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část prak-tickou. Teoretická část byla zpracována sumarizační metodou. Je zaměřena na historii komu-nitní péče u nás i v zahraničí, ob¬sahuje základní informace o komunitní péči a také se zaměřuje na komunitní péči v porodní asistenci u nás a v jiných zemích EU. Pojednává o kompetencích porodní asistentky a zabývá se procesem komunitní péče o fyziologickou ženu a jejími potřebami v období šestinedělí. Na konec se zaobírá postupy komunitní péče o fyziolo¬gického novorozence a jeho potřebami. Hlavními dvěma cíli bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, jaká je informovanost žen o péči porodních asistentek v komunitním prostředí a zjistit názory žen, porodních asistentek a lékařů na tyto služby. Získání informací bylo docíleno pomocí anketního šetření a kvalitativního výzkumu. Praktická část je tvořena anketou, rozhovory a jejich analýzou. Kvalitativní výzkum je tvořen jednotlivými rozhovory s ženami po fyziologickém porodu, s porodními asistentkami pracující v komunitním prostředí a s lékaři z oboru pediatrie a gynekologie. Výsledky výzkumu jsou shrnuty a následně interpretovány. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že jsou ženy o práci komunitní porodní asistentky informovány, ale ne dostatečně. Více informovány jsou ženy, které mají zkušenost s komunitní péčí po porodu. Nejčastějším zdrojem informací byl předporodní kurz, který ženy navštěvovaly. Ženy i po-rodní asistentky vnímají služby samostatné porodní asistentky jako velmi důležité a přínosné, ale názor lékařů se v některých oblastech trochu odlišuje. Uvedené zjištění by mohly být in-spirací pro další výzkumy v oblasti komunitní péče porodní asistentky po porodu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with competencies of midwives in a community care about physiological woman and newborn after birth. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoreti-cal part was processed by using a summation method. It focuses on the history of community care both in Czech Republic and abroad, contains basic information on community care and focuses on community-based care in midwifery in our country and in other EU countries. It discusses the competencies of midwives and is concerned with a process of community care for the woman and her physiological needs in the postpartum period. At the end it deals with practices in community care for physiological newborn and its needs. The two main objectives of this thesis was to ascertain the awareness of women about the care of midwives in the community setting and to ascertain the views of women, midwives and doctors on these services. Obtaining information was achieved using a public inquiry and a qualitative research. The practical part consists of poll, interviews and analysis. The qualita-tive research consists of individual interviews with women after physiological birth, with midwives working in the community setting and doctors in pediatrics and gynecology. The research results are summarized and subsequently interpreted. Research shows that women are informed about the work of community midwife, but not enough. More informed are the women, who have experiences with community care after birth. The most frequent source of information was the antenatal course that the women at-tended. The women and midwives perceive the services of a stand-alone midwife as very im-portant and useful, but the opinion of doctors is in some areas a little different. Said findings could be an inspiration for another research in the field of community midwifery care after birth.
