CSR Communication of Chemical Companies in Norway

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je věnována problematice komunikování společensky odpovědných aktivit vybranými chemickými podniky sídlícími v Norsku. V rámci teoretické části práce je vymezen vlastní koncept společenské odpovědnosti podniků (CSR) a jsou představena alternativní pojetí CSR oblastí a aktivit. Dále je pozornost zaměřena na problematiku CSR reportování a komunikování. Praktická část práce je věnována analýze a zhodnocení rozsahu a struktury CSR aktivit komunikovaných TOP chemickými podniky sídlícími v Norsku na jejich webových stránkách: Provedena je mimo jiné jejich komparace s rozsahem a strukturou CSR aktivit komunikovaných TOP chemickými podniky sídlícími ve vybraných postkomunistických zemích - České republice, Slovensku a Ukrajině. Na závěr diplomové práce jsou formulována doporučení pro zlepšení stávající situace v oblasti CSR komunikování.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is devoted to the issue of communication of socially responsible activities by selected chemical companies based in Norway. Within the theoretical part of the thesis, the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is defined and alternative concepts of CSR areas and activities are introduced. Furthermore, attention is focused on the issue of CSR reporting and communication. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis and evaluation of the scope and structure of CSR activities communicated by TOP chemical companies based in Norway on their websites. Among other things, this scope and structure is compared with the scope and structure of CSR activities communicated by TOP chemical companies based in selected post-communist countries - the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine. At the end of the thesis, recommendations are formulated to improve the current situation in the field of CSR communication.
