The Nonprofit Sector and the Homeless Care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Role a postavení neziskového sektoru v oblasti práce s bezdomovci“ analyzuje postavení nestátních neziskových organizací jakožto poskytovatelů služeb sociální prevence. Úvodní část se věnuje charakteristice bezdomovectví v České republice, jeho vývoji, terminologii a zakotvení v legislativě. Dále je popsána úloha nestáních neziskových organizací a dalších subjektů působících v oblasti sociálních služeb a vztahy mezi nimi upravené zejména zákonem o sociálních službách. Další část je věnována kvantitativní analýze a územnímu rozložení zařízení poskytujících přímou péči bezdomovcům, identifikaci největších poskytovatelů těchto služeb a tzv. střešních organizací a jejich společným projektům a aktivitám v oblasti péče o bezdomovce. V závěru jsou identifikovány hlavní problémy v oblasti práce s bezdomovci a možnosti jejich řešení.

Abstract:

Bachelor's thesis „The nonprofit sector and the homeless care“ analyzes the position of nonprofit organizations as providers of social prevention services. The first part focuses on homelessness in Czech republic – its history, terminology and confirmation in czech legislation. In the next part is described the role of the subjects involved in social services and relationships between them defined in social services act. Another section devotes to quantitative analysis and spatial distribution of facilities providing direct care to homeless people, the identification of the largest providers of these services and so-called umbrella organizations and their joint projects and activities in caring for the homeless. In the end are identified the main problems in working with homeless people and possible solutions.
