Thomas Nagel's Moral Philosophy
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje (meta)etickým stanoviskům amerického filosofa Thomase Nagela. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na teorii motivace a s ní spojenému pojetí důvodu pro čin. Práce se zaměřuje především na chronologickou rekonstrukci zásadních Nagelových argumentů a komparaci jeho původních stanovisek s těmi pozdějšími. V práci je věnována pozornost také autorově normativní a aplikované etice.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis addresses (meta)ethical statements of American philosopher Thomas Nagel. It´s focus lies on theory of motivation and reason for action. The study presents chronological reconstruction of basic Nagel´s arguments and comparison between former and latter statements. The study also concerns authors´s normative and practical ethics.
