Hashtag and its Use in the Current Communication

Abstract:

The following bachelor's thesis deals with the use of the # symbol as a form of labeling different contents on social media, and thus the creation of a modern trend called a hashtag. People use these terms because of different reasons and have different intentions with it. This thesis tries to clarify the meaning of communication, it also approaches the term ?social media? and focuses on the history of the mentioned symbol and the use of hashtag on these networks. The content of the thesis is also the definition of a specific social network, Instagram, its functions and the use of hashtags in it. The research part deals with the analysis of used hashtags. This analysis is divided into three parts. The first part explains the influence of the current situation on the use of designations, the second part examines a popularity of hashtags in specific topics, and the last part examines the hashtags connected with the theme of traveling. The main goal of this work can be considered as the effort to find out how is the hashtag integrated into the current communication.

Abstract:

Následující bakalářská práce se zabývá používáním symbolu # jako formu označování různých obsahů na sociálních sítích, a tak i vytváření novodobého trendu zvaného hashtag. Lidé používají tyhle označení z různých důvodů a mají různé úmysly. Tato práce se snaží objasnit význam komunikace a přibližuje termín ?sociální sítě?, také se však zaměřuje na historii zmiňovaného znaku a používání hashtagu na těchto sítích. Obsahem práce je i definice konkrétní sociální sítě, Instagram, její funkcí a užívání hashtagů v ní. V části výzkumu se věnuje analýze používaných hashtagů. Tuhle analýzu jsme rozdělili na tři části. První část vysvětluje vliv aktuální situace na používání označení, druhá část zjišťuje popularitu hashtagů v konkrétních tématech, a poslední část zkoumá hashtagy používané s tématem cestování. Za hlavní cíl této práce lze považovat snahu zjistit, jakým způsobem se integruje hashtag do aktuální komunikace.
