Education of a pupil with autistic spectrum disorder

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on problems of education of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The goal of this bachelor thesis was to obtain narrower perspective into the process of education of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Private Primary School with Kindergarten for Pupils and Children with Autism. The work is devided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part includes introduction to the area of autism which describes the field of disturbance of a disabled person with autism and classification, diagnostics of autism, also offers an outline of historical context. Next i t describes mental developments , which are connected with autistic syptoms and last but not least we find in it qualified workplaces and specialists in Slovakia who are in close proximity with the diagnosis. The Empirical part of thesis deals with four case histories of boys with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are educated in the educational facility specifically The Private Primary School with Kindergarten for Pupils and Children with Autism.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa venuje problematike edukácie osôb autistického spektra. Cieľom bakalárskej práce bolo získať užší pohľad do spôsobu edukácie žiakov s poruchou autistického spektra v Súkromnej základnej škole s materskou školou pre žiakov a deti s autizmom. Práca sa delí na teoretickú a empirickú časť. V teoretickej časti je obsiahnutý úvod do problematiky autizmu, ktorý popisuje oblasti narušenia osoby postihnutej autizmom, klasifikáciu a diagnostiku autizmu, poskytuje aj náčrt historického kontextu. Ďalej popisuje vývojové štádiá, ktoré sú spojené s príznakmi autizmu a v neposlednom rade tu nájdeme kompetentné pracoviská a odborníkov pôsobiacich na Slovensku, ktorí sú s touto diagnózou tesne spätí. Empirická časť poskytuje štyri kazuistiky chlapcov s poruchou autistického spektra, ktorí sa vzdelávajú vo vzdelávacom zariadení Súkromná základná škola s materskou školou pre žiakov a deti s autizmom.
