Abstract:

Coinbase dokázala vytvořit inovativní Fin-Tech produkt na rozvíjejícím se trhu kryptoměn a technologie blockchain tím, že vytvořila cestu k regulaci kryptoměn a masové adopci jako první plně regulovaná burza kryptoměn se sídlem v USA. Navzdory snahám o plnou regulaci však konkurence zůstává regulačními orgány nedotčena a díky decentralizované povaze struktury společností může nabízet více produktů. Strategie Coinbase se zásadně liší od konkurence, což je staví do vzrušujícího prostředí, které vědci v těchto oborech stále potřebují adekvátně vyhodnotit. Cílem diplomové práce je provést strategickou analýzu společnosti pomocí zkoumání vnějšího prostředí a hodnocení vnitřního prostředí. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou část s popisem použitých metod a praktickou část s implementacemi metod používaných pro strategickou analýzu.

Abstract:

Coinbase managed to create an innovative Fin-Tech product in an emerging market of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology by forging the path to cryptocurrency regulations and mass adoption as the first fully regulated US-based cryptocurrency exchange. Yet, despite the efforts to become fully regulated, the competition remains untouched by the regulators and can offer more products due to the decentralized nature of companies' structure. The strategy of Coinbase is fundamentally different from the competition, which puts them in an exciting environment that the scholars in these fields still need to evaluate adequately. The purpose of the thesis is to conduct a strategic analysis of the company by examining external environments and assessing the internal environment. The bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical part with the description of the methods used and the practical part with the implementations of the methods used for strategic analysis.
