Analysis of the medical emergency services of the Ústí Region to indication childbirth

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Úvod: Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou výjezdů zdravotnické záchranné služby k indikaci porod. Zaměřuje se na Zdravotnickou záchrannou službu Ústeckého kraje. Analyzuje výjezdy v letech 2018 až 2021 dle různých kritérií. Cíl práce: Cílem práce je poskytnout ucelený pohled na výjezdy Zdravotnické záchranné služby Ústeckého kraje k indikaci porod a identifikovat tak potenciální oblasti zlepšení v poskytování přednemocniční péče. Díky statistické analýze a vyhodnocení dat můžeme lépe porozumět faktorům ovlivňujícím dobu dojezdu a přispět tak k optimalizaci procesů poskytování péče v urgentní medicíně. Dalším výstupem práce je doporučení pro praxi v rámci poskytování přednemocniční péče o rodičku. Metodika: Zpracování dat získaných z databáze Zdravotnické záchranné služby Ústeckého kraje proběhlo v programu Microsoft Excel. Data byla získána se souhlasem vědeckého sekretáře Zdravotnické záchranné služby Ústeckého kraje. Získaná data byla nejprve zhodnocena deskriptivními metodami a utříděna do sumarizačních tabulek a přehledných grafů. Následně byly statisticky ověřovány dvě výzkumné hypotézy. Nejprve jsme ověřili jejich normalitu pomocí Kolmogorov-Smirnov testu normality. První hypotéza byla ověřena pomocí neparametrické statistické metody Mann-Whitney. Druhá hypotéza byla ověřena T-testem. Ke statistickému ověření byl použit kalkulátor dostupný na webových stránkách www.socscistatistics.com. Výsledky: Pomocí statistického ověřování bylo zjištěno, že v dobách dosažení pacientky během denní a noční směny není statisticky významný rozdíl. Ke stejnému výsledku jsme došli i v hypotéze o změně věkové struktury pacientek ve dvou obdobích, kde se také nenacházel statisticky významný rozdíl. Závěr: Analýza výjezdů zdravotnické záchranné služby v Ústeckém kraji přinesla poznatky o aktuálním stavu poskytování přednemocniční péče. Vyhodnocení dat umožnilo identifikovat klíčové trendy a faktory ovlivňující průběh poskytování přednemocniční zdravotní péče pacientkám s indikací porod a novorozencům.

Abstract:

SUMMARY Introduction: This thesis addresses the issue of emergency medical service responses to indications of childbirth, focusing on the Emergency Medical Service of the Ústí Region. It analyzes responses from 2018 to 2021 based on various criteria. Aim of thesis: The aim is to provide a comprehensive view of the Emergency Medical Service responses to childbirth indications in the Ústí Region and identify potential areas for improvement in prehospital care provision. Through statistical analysis and data evaluation, we aim to better understand the factors influencing response times and contribute to optimizing care provision processes in emergency medicine. The next outcome of the thesis is a recommendation for practice in providing prehospital care of the mother. Methodology: Data processing from the Emergency Medical Service database of the Ústí Region was conducted using Microsoft Excel. The data was obteined with the consent of the scientific secretary of the Emergency Medical Sevices in the Ústí nad Labem region. The data was initially assessed using descriptive methods and organized into summary tables and clear graphs. Two research hypotheses were then statistically tested. Firstly, their normality was verified using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and the first hypothesis was tested using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney method, while the second hypothesis was tested using the T-test. Statistical verification utilized a calculator available on the website www.socscistatistics.com. Results: Statistical analysis revealed no statistically significant difference in patient arrival times during day and night shifts. Similarly, the hypothesis regarding changes in the age structure of patients in two periods also showed no statistically significant difference. Conclusion: The analysis of Emergency Medical Service responses in the Ústí Region provided insights into the current state of prehospital care provision. Data evaluation helped identify key trends and factors influencing the provision of prehospital health care to patients with indications of childbirth and newborns.
