Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce „Kolektivní identity v zemích V4. Sekundární analýza.“ bylo prozkoumat na základě teritoria vymezené identity v České republice, Slovenské republice, Polsku a Maďarsku. Cílem zájmu byly regionální (lokální), národní, evropská a globální identita, které byly operacionalizovány za použití vybraných otázek z výzkumů International Social Survey Programme ISSP 1995 a ISSP 2003, označených jako „National Identity I & II“. Na jejich základě byly zformulovány výzkumné otázky a pracovní hypotézy. Sekundární analýzou dat ISSP bylo dosaženo následujících zjištění: občané zemí Visegrádské skupiny se stále nejvíce identifikují se státem, ve kterém žijí, to však občanům neznemožňuje se úzce identifikovat i s dalšími úrovněmi, zejména se svými regiony a do značné míry také s Evropou. Rozdíly mezi identitními vzorci zemí nejsou příliš velké, pouze Maďarsko je v tomto ohledu zásadně odlišné. Tyto vzorce se mění, je sledovatelný nárůst asociace občanů s jejich regiony a zároveň pokles identifikace s Evropou (jako geografickou entitou) a také se světem jako celkem. Na základě teorie Stuarta Halla je tyto výsledky možno interpretovat jako reakci na působení globalizace, nejspíše jako pokus o obranu vnímané kulturní svébytnosti. V závěru práce byla také podána jistá obecná doporučení pro vytvoření kvalitního kvantitativního šetření identity.

Abstract:

Main goal of the thesis „Collective Identities in the V4 countries. Secondary Analysis” was to study territorially based identities in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland and Hungary. Objects of interest were local (regional), national, european and global identities. They are operationalized based on selected questions from the surveys of International Social Survey Programme ISSP 1995 and ISSP 2003, called “National Identity I & II”. These became the basis for the research questions and hypotheses as well. Data were processed by means of the secondary data analysis. It was found out that citizens of the countries of the Visegrad Group still identify with their state stronger than with any other level. That doesn't mean that this is the only association they can feel though. Close identification with the regional and european level was found as well. There are no large scale differences in the patterns of identities in between the states with the significant significant exception of Hungary. These patterns change; increase in association of the citizens with their regions and decrease in association with Europe (as a geographical entity) and also the world as a whole was observed as well. Based on the theory of Stuart Hall these results may be explained as a reaction on the effects of globalization, most likely as an attempt to defend the specific culture. One of the conclusions was also the set of generic recommendations how to achieve a quality quantitative survey of identity.
