Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je dokumentární tvorba Romana Vávry. Cílem diplomové práce bude postihnout stylistické prvky současných dokumentárních filmů Romana Vávry. Metodologicky bude práce vycházet z teorie dokumentární tvorby Bila Nicholse, který v knize Úvod do dokumentární tvorby formuluje teorii "dokumentárního hlasu". Autorský hlas dokumentu spočívá ve vytvoření koncepce daného díla. To souvisí se stylem a vybraným postupem tvůrce. Tuto teorii budu aplikovat při analýzách vybraných děl Romana Vávry, například Bylo, nebylo, Bitva o ţivot, Jak jsem se zbláznil, Karel IV., Valdéz, ráj velryb, Trafačka - Chrám svobody, Století rádia, Kronika králů, Jako bychom dnes zemřít měli, Klackovitý architekt Martin Rajniš.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is focused on the documentary work by Roman Vávra. The primary goal of the thesis is to focus on a perception of stylistic element of contemporary documentary films by Roman Vávra. Methodically, the work will be based on the theory of documentary work written by Bill Nichols, who formulates the theory of "documentary voice" in his book called Introduction to Documentary. The main aim is to create a conception of the specific work. This is related to the style and opted approach of the author. I will apply this theory to analyzes of selected works by Roman Vávra. For instance: Bylo, nebylo, Bitva o ţivot, Jak jsem se zbláznil, Karel IV., Valdéz, ráj velryb, Trafačka Chrám svobody, Století rádia, Kronika králů, Jako bychom dnes zemřít měli, Klackovitý architekt Martin Rajniš.
