Penology in the Context of Experiences of People after Serving a Prison Sentence

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou penologie v kontextu zkušeností osob po výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. Cílem práce je zjistit hodnocení osobních zkušeností osob po výkonu trestu odnětí svobody s procesem penitenciární a postpenitenciární péče. Teoretická část popisuje penitenciární a postpenitenciární péči. Praktická část se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem. Data byla získávána pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Jako design výzkumu byla zvolena zakotvená teorie. Práce jako taková poukazuje na skutečnost, že by mělo být s vězni v rámci programu zacházení zacházeno efektivněji a vyzdvihuje podstatu zázemí a s tím související podporu ze strany blízkých. V neposlední řadě demonstruje nejčastější problémy vedoucí ke vzniku opakované trestné činnosti, na něž chceme touto prací upozornit.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with Penology in the context of the Context of Experience of People after Serving Prison Sentence. The aim of the thesis is to find out how people after serving a prison sentence evaluate their personal experiences with the process of penitentiary and post-penitentiary care. The theoretical part describes penitentiary and post-penitentiary care. The practical part deals with qualitative research. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. The output of qualitative research is grounded theory. As such, the work points to the fact that prisoners should be treated more effectively within the treatment program and highlights the essence of background and related support from loved ones. Finally, it demonstrates the most common problems leading to the emergence of repeated criminal activity, which we want to draw attention to in this work.
