Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Internetové sociální sítě jako nové působiště knihoven a knihovníků“ obsahuje stručnou úvodní část o sociálních sítích obecně, jejich charakteru, historii a vlastnostech. Další část obsahuje popis možností využití sociálních sítí knihovnami. Je přidán stručný úvod do marketingu na sociálních sítích s přihlédnutím ke knihovnám a je zmíněn problém relevance sociálních sítí pro knihovny. Jsou uvedeny možnosti prezentace knihoven na Facebooku s konkrétními případy ze zahraničí i z České republiky. Je provedeno srovnání knihovních prezentací na Twitteru. Okrajově je zmíněno působení knihoven na MySpace, LinkedIn a další aplikace sociálních sítí v knihovnách. V kapitole o knihovnících a sociálních sítích jsou uvedeny možnosti, které sociální sítě nabízí knihovníkům z osobního a profesního hlediska. Práce obsahuje výzkum provedený mezi knihovnami z České republiky působících na Facebooku. Výzkum zjišťoval vnímání prezentace na Facebooku knihovnami, jejich chování na Facebooku a ochotu vstoupit na další sociální sítě. V závěru jsou formulována konkrétní doporučení pro úspěšné působení knihoven na sociálních sítích.

Abstract:

The thesis „The Internet Social Networks as a new place of work for Libraries and Librarians“ contains short general introduction to Social Networks, their character, history and features. This part is followed by description of possible usage of Social Networks by Libraries. Short introduction to Social Network Marketing for Libraries is added and problem of Social Networks’ relevance for Libraries is mentioned. Various ways of Library presentantations on Facebook are described along with examples from Czech Republic and abroad. Comaparison of Libraries‘ presentations on Twitter is performed. Activities of Libraries on MySpace, LinkedIn and other applications of Social Networks in Libraries are also shortly mentioned. Possibilities of Social Networks for personal and proffesional use of Librarians are described in chapter „Librarians and Social Networks“. The Thesis also contains the Research part where Libraries from Czech Republic which are on Facebook replied about their perception of Facebook, their actual usage of Facebook and their willingness to use other Social Networks. At the end the suggestions for successful promotion of Libraries on Social Networks are presented.
