Social Community in Social Networks on the Internet

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje jednotlivé sociální sítě na internetu a chování jejích uživatelů. Důraz je kladen na sociální síť Facebook a problematiku pořádání soutěží, kterých se velmi často účastní komunita profesionálních soutěžících, kteří jsou schopni cíleně a vzájemnou spoluprací průběh soutěží ovlivňovat. Na základě empirické analýzy, která vychází z virtuálních rozhovorů se soutěžícími, je cílem diplomové práce popsat chování této komunity a způsoby její komunikace a spolupráce. Za hlavní přínos práce považuji pochopení mechanismů spolupráce komunity a popsání nekalých praktik, které na Facebooku komunita uplatňuje. To považuji za potenciálně užitečné pro firmy, které soutěže pořádají a mohou se tak sociální komunitě profesionálních soutěžících lépe bránit.

Abstract:

The diploma theses describe social networks on the internet and behaviour of its users with emphasis on social network Facebook and issues with organization of competitions. Competitions are often manipulated by community of professional contestants, which are capable of targeted cooperation, which leads to large interferences of competitions. Based on empirical analysis, which is based on interviews with contestants and surveys is the target of my theses to describe behaviour of this community and ways of their communication and cooperation. The main asset of this thesis is to understand mechanics of community cooperation and description of unfair practices which community exercises. That is to me potentially useful to companies, which organizes these competitions and would be able to defend themselves better against social community of professional contestants.
