The relationship between conservatism and euroscepticism on Czech political scene

Abstract:

Cílem práce je provést analýzu vztahu mezi konzervatismem a euroskepticismem, konkrétně na české politické scéně. První část práce bude obsahovat základní charakteristiku ideologie konzervatismu, její vznik a vývoj, vymezení vůči ostatním politickým směrům a popíše jeho moderní směry. Další část práce se zaměří na definici pojmu euroskepticimu a uvede teoretické modely klasifikace politických stran dle postojů k evropské integraci. V závěrečné části bude analyzován vztah konkrétních konzervativních stran a hnutí působících v české politice k euroskepticismu.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze relationship between conservatism and euroscepticism, specifically on Czech political scene. The first part will include basic characteristics of the ideology of conservatism, its origins and evolution, the definition of other political ideologies and describes modern forms of conservatims. The second part will focus on the definition of euroscepticism and describe theoretical models of classification of political parties according to the attitudes to European integration. The final part will analyze the relationship of different conservative parties and movements operating on Czech political scene towards euroscepticism.
