Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Nelehká role pečujícího aneb můj příbuzný má Alzheimerovu chorobu“ se zabývá situací rodinných pečujících, kteří se starají o své příbuzné s Alzheimerovou chorobou v domácím prostředí. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a výzkumnou. Teoretická část seznamuje čtenáře s demencí a Alzheimerovou chorobou. Dále se zabývá možnostmi péče o osoby s Alzheimerovou chorobou a především se zaměřuje na rodinné pečující a jejich péči v domácím prostředí. Ve výzkumné části jsou důležité příběhy informantů, kteří se starají o své nemocné s Alzheimerovou chorobou v rodině. Tyto příběhy jsou zpracovány pomocí narativní analýzy. Cílem diplomové práce je proniknout do života pečujících, kteří se starají o své příbuzné s Alzheimerovou chorobou v domácím prostředí a zjistit, jakým způsobem nemoc příbuzných zasáhla do jejich soukromí a vztahů s ostatními členy v rodině. Dílčím cílem je zjistit, jak se cítí v roli pečujícího a zda tato role ovlivnila i jejich pohled na vlastní stárnutí.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis with the title „The difficult role of caregiver or relative of mine has Alzheimer's disease“ deals with situation of family caregivers who care for their relatives with Alzheimer's disease at home. The thesis consists of two parts – the theoretical and the empirical. The theoretical part introduces readers with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It also deals with the possibilities of care for people with Alzheimer's disease and primarily focuses on family caregivers and their care at home. In the empirical part are important stories informants who care about their patients with Alzheimer's disease in the family. These stories are processed using narrative analysis. The aim of this thesis is to break into the live of caregivers who care for their relatives with Alzheimer's at home and find out how the disease affected their privacy and private relationships with other members in the family. Partial aim is to find out how they feel in the role of caregiver and whether this role was also influenced by their view of their own aging.
