Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Sic et non: spory o sociální politiku ve 20. století“ je popis a analýza nejvýznamnějších sporů, které významně ovlivnily vývoj sociální politiky a sociálního státu ve 20. století ve vybraných zemích, vyhodnocení argumentů a veřejné debaty o rozsahu státní moci a vlivu státu v sociální politice. První část práce vymezuje pojem sociální politika a zabývá se jejími funkcemi, cíli a hlavními principy. Druhá část práce rozebírá pojem sociální stát, zabývá se typologií sociálního státu a jeho vývojem ve 20. století. Obsahem další části práce je vymezení základních milníků sporů o sociální politiku ve vybraných zemích ve 20. století.

Abstract:

The purpose of the diploma thesis „Sic et non: debates in social policy in 20th century” is description and analysis of the most important disputes, which profoundly influenced the development of social policy and welfare state of the 20th century in the selected countries; evaluation of arguments and public debate concerning the extent of state power and the influence of state in social policy. The introductory chapter of the thesis defines the concept of social policy and its functions, goals and main principals. The second chapter discusses the concept of welfare state, its typology and development in the 20th century. The final chapter of the thesis is dedicated to defining milestones of social policy disputes in the selected countries in the twentieth century.
