Euro Area Sovereign Debt Crisis and their Impact on EU Economy

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to explain the causes of the debt crisis and the course and explain its impact on economic activity of the individual countries of the European Union. Diploma thesis "The debt crisis of the euro area and its impact on economic activity in the EU" deals in the first chapter the characteristics of the underlying causes of the debt crisis in the euro area and the definition of debt, monetary, financial and systemic crisis, it is characterized by the current situation in public finances and defined public, government, domestic and foreign debt. It is also characterized by the European Union budget and its structure and the Stability and Growth Pact. The second chapter is defined by the impact of the debt crisis on individual countries in the European Union divided the member states of the European Monetary Union and the european union member states not participating in monetary union. The third part is defined the impact of the debt crisis on different sectors, the banking sector, unemployment, GDP, bond market and other economic indicators and spread over the industry. It is also characterized by the influence of banks and financial markets, automotive, real estate and construction, energy and tourism.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je vysvetliť príčiny vzniku a priebeh dlhovej krízy a vysvetliť jej vplyv na ekonomickú aktivitu jednotlivých krajín Európskej únie. Diplomová práca „Dlhová kríza krajín eurozóny a jej vplyv na ekonomickú aktivitu v EÚ“ sa zaoberá v prvej kapitole charakteristikou príčin vzniku dlhovej krízy v eurozóne a definíciou dlhovej, menovej, finančnej a systémovej krízy, je v nej charakterizovaná súčasná situácia vo verejných financiách a definovaný verejný, štátny, domáci a zahraničný dlh. Taktiež je charakterizovaný rozpočet Európskej únie a jeho štruktúra a Pakt stability a rastu. V druhej kapitole je definovaný vplyv dlhovej krízy na jednotlivé krajiny v Európskej únii v členení na členské štáty Európskej menovej únie a členské štáty Európskej únie, ktoré nie sú zapojené do menovej únie. V tretej časti je vymedzený a definovaný vplyv dlhovej krízy na jednotlivé odvetvia, bankový sektor, nezamestnanost, HDP, trh dlhopisov a iné ekonomické ukazovatele a najednotlivé oblasti priemyslu. Taktiež je charakterizovaný vplyv na banky a finančné trhy, automobilový priemysel, reality a stavebníctvo, energetiku a cestovný ruch.
