Modern software and hardware technology in primary school for pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs)

Abstract:

Popisujeme téma moderní softwarové a hardwarové technologie na dvou vybraných základních školách a jejich přínos pro žáky se SVP. Práci tvoří dvě základní části teoretická a empirická. Teoretická část je rozčleněna do pěti podkapitol. V těchto kapitolách zaměřujeme pozornost na pojem speciální vzdělávací potřeby žáka a rámec podpůrných opatření. Zmíněn je i individuální plán pro žáky se SVP s povinnostmi školy při jeho zpracování. V druhé kapitole jsou popsány speciální vzdělávací potřeby versus hardwarové a softwarové technologie. V následujících kapitolách jsou popsány alternativy hardwaru a softwaru u žáků se SVP. V empirické části práce je zpracována metodologie,specifikace použitých technik shromažďování dat, charakteristika výzkumného souboru a místa šetření. Následuje analýza a interpretace výsledků výzkumného šetření – založených na výukových jednotkách/blocích a jejich následná analýza spojená s krátkou anketou pro pedagogy.

Abstract:

We describe usage of modern software and hardware technology in two selected elementary schools and its contribution for students with SEN. The thesis consists of two main parts, theoretical and empirical one. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. In thesechapters, the attention is focused on the concept of thespecial educational needs of the student and support actions framework.An individual plan for students with SEN and school’s duties towards them are mentioned. Second chapter describes the special educational needs versus hardware and software technologies. The following sections describe the hardware and software alternatives for students with SEN. There are methodology, specification of techniques used for gathering data, characteristics of the research data and location elaborated in empirical part of thesis. We continue with analysis and interpretation of results of the research based on instructional units / blocks and their subsequent analysis combined with a short survey for teachers.
