Analysis of the company's insurance portfolio and clients using statistical methods

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce poskytuje komplexní statistickou analýzu chování a výkonnosti pojistných produktů, založenou na interpretačním posouzení různých statistických modelů. Průměrné roční pojistné v roce 2022 bylo 36 837,50 Kč, variabilitu trhu reflektuje vysoký rozptyl ve výši 354 miliard a směrodatná odchylka 595 570,31 Kč. Výrazná šikmost 93,15 a špičatost 12 401,17 poukazují na neobvykle zkreslenou distribuci pojistných hodnot, kde minimální pojistné činilo 51,00 Kč a maximum dosáhlo hodnoty 98 577 359,00 Kč. Exponenciální trend identifikovaný v časových řadách s koeficientem determinace 0,9245 naznačuje výrazný meziroční růstu, dále korelační analýza mezi odhadem škody a výší plnění odhalila vysokou korelaci s koeficientem 0,9868, což naznačuje silnou míru lineární závislosti. Tyto statistické výstupy nejen že zvyšují porozumění tržním dynamikám, ale také umožňují společnosti optimalizovat produkty a služby, zlepšit řízení rizik a vyvíjet účinnější strategie pro růst a udržitelnost v sektoru.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis provides a comprehensive statistical analysis of the behavior and performance of insurance products, based on the interpretative assessment of various statistical models. The average annual premium in 2022 was CZK 36 837,50, the variability of the market is reflected by the high dispersion of CZK 354 billion and standard deviation CZK 595 570,31. Significant skewness of 93.15 and kurtosis of 12 401,17 point to an unusually distorted distribution of insurance values, where the minimum premium was CZK 51.00 and the maximum reached the value of CZK 98,577,359.00. Exponential trend identified in time series with a coefficient of determination of 0.9245 indicates a significant year-on-year growth, further, the correlation analysis between the damage estimate and the amount of compensation revealed a high correlation with a coefficient of 0.9868, which indicates a strong degree of linear dependence. These statistical outputs not only increase the understanding of market dynamics, but also enable the company to optimize products and services, improve risk management and develop more effective strategies for growth and sustainability in the sector.
