Strategy of ČEZ Group in the Region of Central Europe

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou působení Skupiny ČEZ v regionu jihovýchodní Evropy, jmenovitě v Rumunsku a Bulharsku. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo prozkoumat klíčovou oblast působení, záměry a výsledky této expanze v daném regionu. V potaz bylo bráno také to, že se jedná o rychle se rozvíjející ekonomické prostředí, kde docházelo k procesům liberalizace energetického trhu. Tento liberalizační proces je také vnímán v rovině evropského vývoje energetické politiky. V textu je tedy tento vývoj evropské energetické politiky nastíněn a v souvislosti s tím je také pohlíženo na globální prostředí, ve kterém v dnešní době velké korporace působí.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with the activities of CEZ Group in the region of South-East Europe, namely in Romania and Bulgaria. The main goal of this thesis was to explore the crucial field of activities, stated goals and results of investment activities in the region. It was also taken into account that the region is developing fast and was going through the processes of liberalization of energy markets. The whole process of liberalization is also connected to the broader European energy policies and strategies. In the text there is also brief overview of the development of energy policies at European level and the context of global economic processes which are influencing strategies of big corporations.
