The support of inclusive education for students with visual impairments in primary schools

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice podpory inkluzivního vzdělávání žáků se zrakovým postižením v prostředí základních škol. V teoretické části je pozornost zaměřena na definování klíčových pojmů, principů inkluzivního vzdělávání a charakteristiku jednotlivých forem zrakového postižení, včetně jejich dopadu na průběh vzdělávacího procesu. Empirická část práce prezentuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které bylo realizované mezi pedagogickými pracovníky. Cílem tohoto šetření bylo odhalit faktory, které ovlivňují efektivitu začleňování žáků se zrakovým postižením do běžného vzdělávacího prostředí. Získaná data reflektují aktuální stav praxe a poukazují na problematické oblasti. Výzkumná zjištění přispívají k hlubšímu porozumění faktorům, které ovlivňují kvalitu vzdělávání a sociální integrace žáků se zrakovým postižením v rámci inkluzivního vzdělávání. Přínos práce spočívá v identifikaci klíčových aspektů, jež mají zásadní vliv na proces začleňování těchto žáků do běžného školního prostředí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of supporting inclusive education for pupils with visual impairments in the environment of primary schools. The theoretical part is devoted to defining key concepts, the principles of inclusive education, and the characteristics of various forms of visual impairment, including their impact on the educational process. The empirical part presents the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among teaching staff. The aim of this research was to identify the factors that influence the effectiveness of integrating pupils with visual impairments into mainstream educational settings. The collected data reflect the current state of practice and highlight problematic areas. The research findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors that affect the quality of education and the social integration of pupils with visual impairments within inclusive education. The main contribution of the thesis lies in the identification of key aspects that significantly influence the process of including these pupils in mainstream school environments.
