Coping with Stress in a Healthcare Worker

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce popisuje a zpracovává téma strategie zvládání stresu a kvocient empatie u pracovníků ve zdravotnictví. V úvodu teoretické části je kapitola, která popisuje zdravotnického pracovníka, a to z pohledu žádoucích a nežádoucích vlastností spojených s výkonem tohoto povolání. Druhá kapitola se zabývá nástrahami syndromu vyhoření u zdravotních pracovníků. Stěžejní část teoretické části poté tvoří kapitola popisující strategie zvládání stresu. V závěrečné kapitole teoretické části je rozebírán pojem empatie, jakožto nutná součást výkonu povolání zdravotníka. Praktická část této diplomové práce obsahuje výzkum, který má za cíl, zjistit strategie zvládání stresu a kvocient empatie u pracovníků ve zdravotnictví v Moravskoslezském kraji. Výzkum je proveden pomocí dvou standardizovaných dotazníků a to "Strategie zvládání stresu" a "Kvocient empatie".

Abstract:

This diploma thesis describes and deals with the topic of stress management strategy and empathy quotient in health care workers. In the introduction to the theoretical part is a chapter that describes the health worker, in terms of desirable and undesirable characteristics associated with the performance of this profession. The second chapter deals with the pitfalls of burnout in health care workers. The main part of the theoretical part consists of a chapter describing the stress management strategy. The final chapter of the theoretical part discusses the concept of empathy, as a necessary part of the medical profession. The practical part of this diploma thesis contains research that aims to determine the stress management strategy and quotient of empathy in health care workers in the Moravian-Silesian region. The research is conducted using two standardized questionnaires, namely "Stress Management Strategies" and "Empathy Quotient".
