Functionality and selection of the application support for a four-star hotel

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je doporučení hotelového systému pro čtyřhvězdičkový hotel v České republice. Na začátku práce je stručně popsána oblast ubytovacích zařízení. Následuje podrobný popis elektronické distribuce a jejích jednotlivých částí. Dále jsou popsány trendy, které se samotnou aplikační podporou souvisí. Poté je popsána právě aplikační podpora – tedy hotel management systémy, je popsána jejich funkcionalita a následně je provedena analýza trhu s hotel management systémy v České republice. Následuje případová studie, ve které je čtenář seznámen s konkrétním ubytovacím zařízením, kterému je systém doporučován. Nejprve jsou popsány základní informace o ubytovacím zařízení, poté je popsána stávající aplikační podpora hotelu, pro kterou je následně provedena SWOT analýza. V poslední části jsou stanoveny požadavky na novou aplikační podporu a je provedeno multikriteriální rozhodování za pomocí kterého je vybrána vhodná aplikační podpora. Předpokládám, že výsledky práce pomohou především majiteli daného hotelu a jeho zaměstnancům, případně jiný hoteliérům.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is the recommendation of hotel system for a chosen four-star hotel in the Czech Republic. At the beginning of the thesis, there is a brief description of the industry of accommodation facilities. It is then followed by a detailed description of the electronic distribution and its parts. Trends, which are linked to application support, will be described in detail in the next part of the thesis. After that there is an analysis of the application support - the hotel management system, which are followed by its functionality. The next part of the thesis deals with the market analysis of hotel management systems in the Czech Republic. Hereafter a case study is carried out where the reader is familiarized with a particular accommodation facility, to which the system is recommended. Firstly, the basic information about the accommodation facility is described, then the existing application support of the hotel is characterized, for which a SWOT analysis is subsequently carried out. In the last part, the requirements for a new application support as well as multicriterial decision making are specified, based on which a suitable application support is selected. I assume that the results of the thesis will help mainly the owner of the hotel and his employees or other hoteliers as well.
