The Art Book – The Value of Artist’s Craft and Self-Expression trough Material

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Umělecká kniha – Hodnota autorského řemesla a sebevyjádření v materiálu má dvě části. Stěžejní praktická výtvarná část se skládá z výroby tří autorských knih určených pro práci s různými věkovými kategoriemi žáků a studentů. Knihy obsahují vlastní perokresebné ilustrace a textový materiál. Teoretická textová část diplomové práce se zabývá výrobou knih a jejich využitím ve školním prostředí. Charakterizuje cílové skupiny a zohledňuje kompetence rámcových vzdělávacích programů k nim příslušejících. Popisuje technické zpracování autorských knih společně s inspiračními zdroji a volbou námětů. V teoretické části jsou definovány specifické pojmy jako umělecká kniha a její druhy, hodnota umělecké knihy, řemeslné zpracování, autorský přínos, sebevyjádření a materiál. Teoretická část přináší také stručný průřez vývojem umělecké knihy až po současné elektronické knihy.

Abstract:

The Master’s Thesis The Art Book – The Value of Artist’s Craft and Self-Expression trough Material consists of two parts. The major practical artistic part consists of three author’s books, which are intended for work with different age groups of pupils and students. The books incorporate author’s pen drawings and textual material. The theoretical textual part of the diploma thesis is focused on the production of the author’s books and its application in the school environment. It characterizes the target group and reflects the competences of the framework educational programs for the groups. It describes the technical processing of the author’s books along with their sources of inspiration and choice of topics. In the theoretical part are defined specific terms such as art book and its types, value of the art book, craftsmanship, authorial contribution, self-expression and material. The theoretical part also provides brief summary of the development of the art book reaching to the contemporary electronic books.
