Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zanalyzovat práci Evropského orgánu pro bankovnictví. V úvodu jsou vymezeny základní informace o vzniku, struktuře a práci tohoto orgánu. Největší pozornost je poté věnována jedné oblasti jeho činnosti. Tato oblast se týká řízení úvěrového rizika, konkrétně přezkumu modelů založených na vnitřním ratingovém systému bank. Tyto modely jsou velkým krokem vpřed kvůli jejich citlivosti na riziko. Zároveň motivují instituce pro správné řízení svých rizik a jejich ohodnocení. Bohužel nekonzistence výstupů z těchto modelů způsobila ztrátu v jejich důvěru. Práce se soustředí na řešení tohoto problému, detailně analyzuje jednotlivé oblasti plánovaných změn za účelem uplatňování stejných pravidel v těchto modelech. Zároveň práce zahrnuje i pohled ostatních zúčastněných stran. Výsledkem práce je zmapování problematiky modelů založených na interním ratingu bank a rámce navrhovaných změn.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the work of the European Banking Authority. At the beginning there are defined basic information about the origin, structure and work of the institution. The most attention is dedicated to one area of its activity. This area relates to credit risk management, in particular the review of models based the internal rating system of banks. These models are a big step forward because of their sensitivity to risk. At the same time they motivate institutions to properly manage and evaluate their risks. Unfortunately, inconsistency of model outputs has caused loss of confidence in them. The thesis is concentrated on solving this problem. It analysis each area of planned changes in order to apply the same rules in these models. The work also includes the view of other interested parties. The output of this work is mapping out the issue or internal rating based models and framework for proposed changes.
