Strategic Analysis of the Medical Device: The Dačice Hospital, a. s.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá strategickou analýzou zdravotnického zařízení, konkrétně Nemocnice Dačice, a. s. Nemocnice se nachází v Jihočeském kraji, v okrese Jindřichův Hradec. Zřizovatelem nemocnice je Jihočeský kraj, a je osmou nemocnicí spadající pod servisní a zastřešovací organizaci Jihočeské nemocnice, a. s. Jedná se o zařízení poskytující jak lůžkovou (léčebna dlouhodobě nemocných), tak ambulantní péči. Odvětví zdravotnictví se nachází v poměrně dynamickém prostředí, které se vyznačuje velkou konkurencí. Z hlediska odborného zaměření (LDN a rehabilitace) je největším konkurentem BH-Nemocnice Vimperk, s. r. o. Mezi silné stránky nemocnice patří především lidský kapitál a také kvalitně poskytované služby v oblasti rehabilitace. Mezi slabé stránky můžeme zařadit nedostatečnou marketingovou činnost nebo také špatnou dopravní dostupnost. Na základě zjištěných skutečností budou na závěr vypracována vhodná doporučení pro budoucí vývoj nemocnice.

Abstract:

The purpose of the thesis is to observe the strategic analysis of the medical device, spe-cifically in the Dačice Hospital, as. The hospital is situated in the South Bohemian Region, county Jindřichův Hradec. Founder of the hospital is the South Bohemian Re-gion and it's the eighth hospital of the Jihočeské nemocnice, a. s. organization which provides service and an organizational care. It's a device which provides a patient care (including a hospice of the long-term patients), and also the ambulatory care. The health sector belongs to a relatively dynamical environment so that there is a big competition. From the specialization (which is the hospice care and rehabilitation) point of view the biggest competitor is the Vimperk BH-Hospital, s. r. o. The strengths of the hospital are the great rehabilitation services and especially the human capital. One of the weaknesses is the poor marketing productivity plus there is also quite bad transport accessibility. Based on the observed reality there will be in the conclusion appropriate recommendations for the future development of the hospital.
