The purpose of this diploma thesis is to examine the category of definiteness in Finnish from the perspective of non-native speakers. Teoretická časť práce zhŕňa výskum tejto kategórie vo fínčine, predstavuje spôsoby, pomocou ktorých je možné vo fínčine vyjadriť určitý a neurčitý význam, a zaoberá sa tým, ako je tento jav prezentovaný v učebniciach pre študentov fínčiny ako cudzieho jazyka.
