Motivation for students to study the field of social work

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá motivací studentů ke studiu oboru sociální práce a faktory, které motivaci ovlivňují. Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat možné motivátory studentů ke studiu oboru sociální práce. V souvislosti s cílem jsou popsány faktory, které mohou motivaci ovlivňovat. Krátce je také definována sociální práce a pojmy se kterými se můžeme setkat jako např. sociální pracovník. Krátce se teoretická část zaměřuje na vzdělání v oboru sociální práce a na práci v oboru po skončení studia. Praktická část poukazuje na dotazníky, které se zaměřovaly na motivací studentů. V souvislosti se získanými informacemi se snažím zjistit informace, které uvádí, co studenty motivuje a proč se rozhodli studovat obor sociální práce.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with student's motivation to study the field of social work and factors, which affect motivation. The aim of thesis is to describe possible motivators of students to study social work. In connection with the aim factors which affect motivation are described. In the thesis, social work and concepts related to social work are defined. The theoretical part focuses on education in the field social work and work in the field after graduation. The practical part points to questionnares which focused on student's motivation. In connection with the information obtained i try to find out the information that states what motivates students and why they want to study.
