The needs of clients with mental disorders in the service of support for independent living

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřená na potřeby a názory klientů, kteří jsou ve službě Podpora samostatného bydlení. První kapitola se zabývá teoretickými východisky, v podkapitolách jsou zmíněny důležité pojmy týkající se definice mentální retardace, či klasifikaci mentální retardace. Druhá kapitola je věnována sociálním službám, podkapitoly se zaměřují na vysvětlení pojmů deinstitucionalizace, jaké jsou služby pro osoby s mentálním postižením, či co je služba Podpora samostatného bydlení. Třetí kapitola se věnuje výzkumnému šetření. Je zde vysvětlen výběr výzkumného šetření, jeho očekávání a seznámení s jednotlivými klienty a jejich krátkým popisem. Cílem práce je zjistit jaké potřeby mají klienti, jak své potřeby vnímají, zda dokáží identifikovat rizika spojená se samostatným bydlením, či jak vnímají případný přechod z ústavní péče, nebo odchod z rodinného zázemí a následném osamostatněním se.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the needs and opinions of clients from the service called the Support of Independent Living. The first chapter is dealing with theoretical solutions. In it's sub-categories are mentioned important terms regarding the definition or a classification of a mental retardation. The second chapter is dedicated to the social services and it's sub-categories are aimed at the explaination of the terms such as deinstitutionalization, types of services for people with mental disorder or what does the Support of Independent Living mean. The third chapter is devoted to an explorational research. There's also a full explaination of choosing of the research, it's expectations , meetings with the clients themselves including a short description of them. The main goal is to find out what exact needs do the clients have, how they perceive their needs, if they are able to indentify the potentional threats connected to the independent living or how they feel about possible transition from an institutional care or departure from their family environment followed by their gaining of an independence.
