Outdoor education from the perspective of science teachers for lower secondary education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá terénní výukou v kontextu přírodopisu na druhém stupni základní školy. V teoretické části je definována a popsána terénní výuka jako strategie výuky, ale také terénní výuka v jejích jednotlivých podobách, její přínosy či bariéry, které její realizace přináší, ale také vztah této výukové strategie k platným školským dokumentům v podobě Rámcového vzdělávacího programu pro základní vzdělávání. Empirická část se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem, který byl realizován pomocí rozhovorů s pedagogy aktivně využívajícími terénní výuku. Součástí je popis metodiky výzkumu, jeho výsledky a také diskuze, kde dochází ke konfrontaci s teoretickou částí práce. Metodická část diplomové práce pak představuje návrh výuky dvou navazujících bloků terénní výuky sestavený s ohledem na doporučení vyplývající z aktuálních výzkumů zaměřených na terénní výuku v kontextu přírodovědných oborů.

Abstract:

The master thesis is focused on outdoor education in the context of biology at the lower secondary school. The theoretical part defines and describes outdoor education as a teaching strategy, as well as outdoor education in its various forms, its benefits or barriers that its implementation brings. The thesis also explains the relationship of this teaching strategy to valid school documents in the form of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education. The empirical part deals with qualitative research, which was carried out through interviews with teachers actively using outdoot education. It includes a description of the research methodology, its results and also a discussion where there is a confrontation with the theoretical part of the thesis. The methodological part of the diploma thesis then presents a proposal for two consecutive blocks of outdoor education compiled with regard to the recommendations resulting from current research focused on outdoor education in the context of science.
