Application of knowledge of English in teaching of French as the second foreign language

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the possibility of utilization of English language in teaching French as the second foreign language at Czech schools. The thesis is divided into two parts; in the firt one, the theoretical part, there is a description of a language sitation in Europe, in the Czech Republic and at Czech primary/elementary schools (or lower levels of grammar schools) and also a description of language phenomenons (both in mother language and in the first foreign language) that influence a student and that can be advatnages or disadvantages during learning another foreign language. In the second, practical part, I dealt with creation of suppementary materials for French lessons which consider students' knowledge of English and which employ them for French teaching in a new way.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá možností využití znalosti anglického jazyka při výuce francouzštiny jako druhého cizího jazyka na českých školách. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části ; v první, teoretické části, je popsána jayková situace v Evropě, v České republice a na českých základních školách (nebo nižších stupních gymnázií) a jsou zde popsány jazykové jevy (ať v mateřském či prvním cizím jazykce), které ovlivňují studenta a mohou být výhodou nebo naopak nevýhodou při učení se dalšímu cizímu jazyku. V druhé, praktické části, jsem se zabývala tvorbou doplňujících materiálů do hodin francouzštiny, které berou v potaz znalosti angličtiny u studentů a využívají je k výuce francouzštiny novým způsobem.
