Quality of stay social service for mentally affected people after the implementation of quality standards

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou, zda inspekcí kvalitně hodnocená sociální služba, je kvalitní i z pohledu uživatele. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část výzkumnou. Teoretická se skládá ze čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se obecně zabývá osobami s mentálním postižením, klasifikací mentálního postižení, projevy a tolik diskutovaným tématem, jako jsou základní lidská práva. Druhá kapitola pojednává o sociálních službách, jejich legislativním zakotvení a novému pojetí. Dále se zabývá změnami, které přinesl nový zákon o sociálních službách. Podrobněji je popsána pobytová služba, která je důležitá z pohledu výzkumu. Třetí kapitola se týká samotných standardů kvality. Čtvrtá kapitola představuje samotné zařízení, ve kterém výzkum probíhal. Součástí této kapitoly je i výpis ze zprávy inspekce, která v zařízení proběhla. Ve výzkumné části jsou popsány metodologické otázky výzkumu a samotná případová studie, která ukazuje jak je vnímána služba uživatelkou. V závěru práce se zamýšlím nad samotným vnímáním kvality pobytových služeb.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about a question if a social service valued by the inspection as being of good quality, is being seen to be of good quality even from the service user point of view. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research parts. The theoretical part consists of four chapters. The first chapter is about the mentally disabled people, the classification of mental disability and its symptoms as well as about the much discussed topic of basic human rights in general. The second chapter is dealing with the social services, their legislative basis and its new conception. Furthermore this chapter is about the new changes brought by the new Act on social services. This part is describing is details the staying service that is important from the research point of view. The third chapter is about the quality standards themselves. The fourth chapter is introducing the facility where the research was carried out. The summary of the inspection report that was carried out in this facility is a part of this chapter. The research part is describing the research methodological approach and the case study that is showing how is the service being perceived by the user. In the final part of this thesis, I am thinking of the perception of the quality of the staying service.
