Children's group as a childcare arrangement in the perspective of working parents

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá nástrojem dětská skupina a jeho jednotlivými aspekty, a to z hlediska pracujících rodičů a jejich potřeb v oblasti zajištění péče o dítě. Dětská skupina patří mezi nástroje, které mají pomoci sladit rodinný a pracovní život. Cílem práce je odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jak rodiče vnímají nástroj dětská skupina a jeho jednotlivé aspekty z hlediska jejich potřeb v oblasti harmonizace práce a rodiny? V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy jako vnímání, harmonizace rodiny a práce, rodinná politika a potřeby rodičů v souvislosti se zajištěním péče o dítě. Také jsou zde popsány současné možnosti zajištění péče o dítě. V závěru teoretické části jsou pak srovnány potřeby a současné problémy rodičů s možnostmi dětské skupiny a také formulovány dílčí výzkumné otázky. Výzkum byl proveden kvalitativní metodou, formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výsledky jsou interpretovány v empirické části, která je rozdělena dle jednotlivých dílčích otázek. V závěru je pak formulována odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with a childcare arrangement called children’s group and its aspects in the perspective of working parents and their needs in the child care. Children’s group belongs among work-life balance arrangements. The aim of the thesis is to answer the main research question: How parents perceive the children’s group and its aspects with respect to their needs regarding work-life balance? In the theoretical part there are specified basic terms such as perception, work-life balance, family policy and parents’ needs in connection with child care. Moreover, the current options of childcare services are described in this part as well. In the conclusion of the theoretical part, parents’ needs and current problems related to the possibilities of a children’s group are compared. Furthermore, there are defined the research questions as well. The applied research method was a qualitative half-structured interview. The results are interpreted in the empirical part of thesis which is divided according to the research questions. The concluding part covers the answer to the main research question.
